Welcome to Jared Horton’s K9 LLC, we are a small family oriented business located in central New York. I come from a business oriented family who has lived in the Mohawk Valley for well over 100 years. I grew up around animals of all kinds, horses, cows, pigs, and of course, dogs. I have always had a very close bond with dogs, owning various types and breeds taught me that owning a dog is a privilege. I was introduced to dog training by taking my dog “Dee” a female German Shepherd to K-9 Services Unlimited where I was instructed by Sal and Jessica Piazza. Through their teachings I was able to turnaround my somewhat nervous dog into a highly trained dog in multiple disciplines. Seeing what a properly trained dog is capable of was incredible, I was hooked on dog training and enrolled in their instructor’s course soon thereafter. During the two years I was in this course I learned invaluable lessons and gained an incredible knowledge of all aspects of dog’s behaviors, drives, and much more. In August of 2019 I graduated with honors and a perfect attendance record. I later went on to become lead trainer at K-9 Services Unlimited until September 2020. Now I am using this knowledge to help my clients get the absolute best training available. Jared Horton’s K9 LLC was founded to help people have good canine companions that they can be proud of.
